Working the Daily Fulfilment Queue

Use the orders queue to find safe work, separate completed work, and hand off exceptions.

Owner: Operations Admin
Area: Orders

Before you begin

Use the daily queue to choose safe work, protect processing ownership, and keep completed or blocked work distinct.

Prerequisites

  • The operator is signed in with the intended client scope.
  • The queue filters and current order detail are available.
  • The operator knows how to hand an exception to a Warehouse Admin.

Stop and check

Do not use a filtered queue or disappearance from a tab as proof that an order is complete.

The Orders page is the working queue. Start with Fulfil now, then use the visible status tabs and search to find a client or order without changing its state.

Safe Queue Routine

  1. Choose the correct client when the queue is filtered by client.
  2. Open an order that StoreFulfil presents as ready, then read its current status before picking.
  3. Move a blocked, failed, or ambiguous order to the named exception path instead of working around it.
  4. Use completed views as history; an order is not complete until every shipment has Shopify acceptance.

Never Do This

Never use a search result, old completed order, or a filtered queue as proof that an order is safe to ship.

Expected Outcome

The next safe order is opened with a clear state, while exceptions remain visible for the appropriate hand-off.

Runbook evidence

Use these signals to decide whether the work is ready to continue, complete, or needs an owner.

State checkpoints

Ready work

The order is presented as eligible for the next operational step.

Next: Open it, read the current state, and claim only permitted work.

Processing

The order is owned for active work by a person or process.

Next: Continue only if it is your work; otherwise hand off.

Needs Attention

A named exception requires assessment or Admin action.

Next: Leave routine work and follow the matching exception guide.

Completed

Every shipment has confirmed Shopify acceptance.

Next: Treat the record as history, not as a new work item.

Completion evidence

  • The order’s current state, owner, and shipment confirmation are clear.

Escalation evidence

  • Record the client, order, visible state, owner, and hand-off reason.
