The setup order
- Confirm the warehouse organisation, Warehouse Admin account, intended users, and permitted client scope.
- Create or confirm the client record and permanent .myshopify.com store domain.
- Complete the Shopify app setup through the current Dev Dashboard flow, using the exact released scopes and secure client-secret hand-off.
- Confirm the connection is healthy, then map exactly one current Shopify fulfilment location to the physical warehouse that owns the work.
- Run the initial client sync and read the result. Check that orders, fulfilment work, and inventory are arriving for the mapped location.
- Create a controlled first-work check: open one eligible order, verify its current lines and destination, and confirm the team knows where blocked work is handed off.
- Release the client to routine operations only after the connection, location ownership, sync result, and first-work check are visible.
Readiness gate
| State | What it means | Safe next step |
|---|---|---|
| Not ready | The store is unconnected, unhealthy, unmapped, or its sync result is unknown. | Keep client work unassigned and complete the named setup step. |
| Connected but not owned | Shopify access works, but StoreFulfil cannot prove which warehouse owns the current location. | Resolve the mapping before operators work the queue. |
| Ready for controlled work | Health, location ownership, sync evidence, and a first order check all pass. | Release only eligible work and monitor the first operating cycle. |
