Match the physical parcel to expected return work, check each item and record its actual condition without creating a second return.
Where to start
What you will see
Open and check the original return
- Open Return → Expected returns and find the identified return.
- Check the client and return or order reference before using its receiving action.
- Resume your own existing receiving work if it is already in progress. Do not take over another operator's active session.
- Compare each physical item with the expected product, variant and quantity.
- Record only what arrived, using the supported scan or confirmation controls.
Record condition, not a guess
| State | What it means | Safe next step |
|---|---|---|
| Good | The received item is suitable for the supported restock path. | Record the actual received quantity and check the restock result. |
| Damaged | The item should not be returned to saleable stock. | Record the damaged outcome and a short condition note when useful. |
| Write-off | The item cannot be restocked. | Record the write-off outcome; do not confirm a good restock to finish faster. |
| Extra or unidentified item | The parcel contains more than the verified expected work. | Keep the item as unresolved evidence and ask an administrator to identify it. |
Finish and verify
- Review the received quantities, conditions and any unresolved items.
- Use the completion controls offered by the receiving screen.
- Check the result on the original return and in the receipt log.
- If a stock update is pending or uncertain, keep the original receipt and follow the restock troubleshooting guide rather than submitting it again.
