Owner: Operations Admin
Area: Wave Picking

Before you begin

Show a warehouse worker how to start the offered wave, follow each visible stop, report a shortage, and pass completed picking to packing.

Prerequisites

  • The client Ready Orders view is open.
  • The worker can identify the item on the shelf and use the scanner or the Manual option.
  • A floor lead or Admin is available when the screen and shelf do not agree.

Stop and check

Do not confirm a similar item, invent a location, or reduce a requested quantity without using Report shortage.

What this is and when to use it

Use a wave when Ready Orders offers several orders to pick together. Follow the screen and the shelf; StoreFulfil chooses which orders belong in the wave.

Start the wave

  1. Open the client’s Ready Orders view.
  2. Press Start wave. StoreFulfil chooses the safe group and opens the first stop.
  3. Go to Location. If the screen says Location not assigned, ask the floor lead where to look; do not invent a location.
  4. Scan the SKU or barcode. If there is no barcode, choose Manual and compare the displayed item with the shelf item.
  5. Confirm the exact quantity shown on screen.
  6. When all stops are done, wait for Picking complete and use Pack order.

If the physical work does not match

If The scan is rejected or shows the wrong item

Stop and compare the screen with the shelf item. Do not confirm a similar item; ask the floor lead if it is still unclear.

If There is less stock

Press Report shortage, enter the available quantity and reason, and stop that stop.

If There is extra stock

Confirm only the requested quantity and tell the floor lead about the extra stock.

If The scanner disconnects or picking is interrupted

Refresh or reopen the same wave and continue from the displayed stop. Do not start a second wave.
